NOTICE is given that the Board of
Directors of the Southeast Texas Groundwater Conservation District will hold a
monthly board meeting on Thursday June 12, 2025 starting at 10:00 a.m., at the
Jasper County Courthouse Annex Building, Emergency Operations Center (2nd
floor), at 271 East Lamar, Jasper, Texas 75951 in accordance with the Texas
Open Meeting Act, Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code or (as amended).
Regular Board Meeting:
The items of business to be considered and transacted during
the meeting are as follows:
1.
Call to order;
2. Public comment;
3. Discussion and possible action to approve the minutes of the
May 8, 2025 Board meeting;
4. Discussion and possible action regarding the monthly
Treasurer’s Report and approval of payables presented;
5. Discussion and possible action to ratify re-investment of CD
recently matured at Education First Federal Credit Union;
6. Discussion and possible action regarding possible response
to legislators for assisting with passage of S.B. 1055;
7. Discussion and possible action to allow for excess CORS
station funds to be utilized for other monitor well related expenses, such as
replacement signage;
8. Discussion and possible action regarding large volume
groundwater export projects throughout Texas;
9. Discussion and possible action regarding amendments to
District Rules;
10. Discussion and possible action regarding District Rule
violations, specifically relating to landowners failing to register wells prior
to drilling and/or using unlicensed drillers;
11. Manager’s Report to include: Update on subsidence monitoring/CORS station, GMA
14, District legislation SB 1055, general legislative update, Public
Information Act (PIA) request from Marvin Jones, spring static water levels,
and drought conditions:
12. Establish date and time of next meeting;
and,
13. Meeting adjourned.
