NOTICE is given that the Board of Directors of the Southeast Texas Groundwater Conservation District will hold a monthly board meeting on Thursday April 9, 2026 starting at 9:30 a.m., at the offices of the Southeast Texas Groundwater Conservation District, located at 1017 FM 105, Evadale, TX  77615, in accordance with the Texas Open Meeting Act, Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code or (as amended).

 

Regular Board Meeting:

 

The items of business to be considered and transacted during the meeting are as follows:

 

1.            Call to order;

2.         Public comment;

3.         Discussion and possible action to approve the minutes of the February 12, 2026 Board meeting;

4.         Discussion and possible action regarding the monthly Treasurer’s Report and approval of payables presented;

5.         Presentation of the 1st Quarter 2026 Investment Report;

6.         Discussion with General Counsel and possible action on recent litigation issues, current legislative issues, and, District Rules and Fees;

7.         Discussion and possible action regarding GMA 14 and the selection of proposed DFCs;

8.         Discussion and possible action regarding the District’s 2025 annual report;

9.         Discussion and possible action to allow general manager to attend GIS training;

10.       Discussion and possible action regarding District days/times of operation;

11.       Manager’s Report to include updates on the following: hiring/interviews, Region I Water Planning Group (RWPG), District annual financial audit, Exxon carbon sequestering project, and drought conditions;

12.       Establish date, time, place, and agenda items of next meeting; and,

13.       Meeting adjourned.

 

Executive Session

 

The Board of Directors of the Southeast Texas Groundwater Conservation District reserves the right to adjourn into Executive (Closed) Session at any time during the course of this meeting to discuss any of the items listed on this agenda, as authorized by the Texas Government Code, Sections 551.071 (Consultations with Attorney), 551.072 (Deliberations about Real Property), 551.073 (Deliberations about Gifts and Donations), 551.074 (Personnel Matters), 551.076 (Deliberations about Security Devices) and 551.086 (Economic Development).  No final action will be taken in Executive Session.
