NOTICE is given that the Board of Directors of the Southeast Texas Groundwater Conservation District will hold a public hearing and monthly board meeting on Thursday March 9, 2023 starting at 9:45 a.m., at the Jasper County Courthouse Annex Building, Emergency Operations Center (2nd floor), at 271 East Lamar, Jasper, Texas 75951 in accordance with the Texas Open Meeting Act, Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code or (as amended).

NOTICE is given that the Southeast Texas Groundwater Conservation District (“District”) will hold a Public Hearing on Thursday March 9, 2023 at 9:45 a.m., at the Jasper County Courthouse Annex Building, Emergency Operations Center (2nd floor), at 271 East Lamar, Jasper, Texas 75951.  The Public Hearing is to hear comments on amendments to the District’s Management Plan.

 

The proposed changes to the Management Plan can be reviewed on the District’s website at: https://setgcd.org/rules/ or at the District Office, located at the Jasper County Courthouse Annex Building, 271 East Lamar, Suite 202, Jasper, Texas 75951.  Further information can also be obtained by contacting the District at P.O. Public Hearing

 

1.         Open public hearing;

2.         Receive public comments regarding proposed amendments to the District’s Management Plan;

3.         Close public hearing.

 

Regular Board Meeting (to begin immediately after the public hearing):

 

The items of business to be considered and transacted during the meeting are as follows:

 

1.         Call to order;

2.         Public comment;

3.         Discussion and possible action to approve the minutes of the January 12, 2023 Board meeting;

4.         Discussion and possible action regarding the monthly Treasurer’s Report and approval of payables presented;

5.         Discussion and possible action regarding amendments to the District’s Management Plan;

6.         Discussion and possible action regarding the District 2022 Annual Report;

7.         Discussion and possible action regarding Chris Tyre/Clear Sky Investments District Rule Violations including the authorization to pursue legal action;

8.         Discussion and possible action regarding the permit application of Chris Tyre/Clear Sky Investments for a new public water supply well for the Sam Rayburn Shores subdivision;

9.         Discussion and possible action regarding the District’s legislative endeavor to raise the maximum production fee as provided for in Special District Local Laws Code, Chapter 8868.153(c);

10.       Manager’s Report to include: legislative update, annual financial audit, Region I WPG, GMA 14, and drought conditions;

11.       Establish date, time and place of next meeting; and

12.       Meeting adjourned.
